Located in the dense capital city of Bangladesh, Dhaka Tower is a 38-story high-rise that fits together two complementary interlocking programs—commercial office space and hospitality—into a single unified structure.
Diagrammatically, a continuous void at the heart of the building opens interior spaces to a central open-air atrium while an intricate series of cutouts define what would otherwise be an unmoving facade.
As a member of the project team, I was tasked with assisting in the close-out of the project documents for the 100% Design Development milestone. Specific highlighted tasks included the finalizing and completion of area plans for accurate area calculation in addition to revising and completion of related fire life safety plans for proper occupancy load and egress path measurements.
